Ronnie Cox

Ronnie joined international Sales and Marketing operation of The Distillers Company Ltd (now Diageo) in 1974 following a year in Spain and in Germany working for different wine companies.  His link to Scotch Whisky spans 6 previous generations (that he admits to). In his export-orientated career he has travelled most of the world, specialising in the late ‘90s in the Latin American continent with Berry Bros. &  Rudd Ltd, the 300 year old wine and spirit merchant based in St.James’s Street, London and now the owners of The Glenrothes Single Malt Whisky. In 2003 he became Director of The Glenrothes, since when he has been Global Ambassador of this classic Single Malt as well as the other top-end spirits products in the Berry Bros. & Rudd Spirits range. His role as educator and promoter brings him into regular contact with distilleries and his passion for Single Malts, Gins and Liqueurs; his position as The Berry Bros.& Rudd spirits evangelist and ambassador allows him to enjoy his passions for people and travel and all that the international world of connoisseurs and gourmets provides.

 He is a Master of the Quaich and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Distillers and was voted the Ambassador of the Year for Scotland 2008 and then World Whisky Ambassador of 2008.
