Sam Simmons – Global Brand Ambassador, The Balvenie
Sam Simmons is a globally-recognized Scotch whisky enthusiast and educator. After six years in the UK, in Edinburgh and in London, hosting tasting events and whisky tours, researching and teaching Scotch whisky history, writing the award-winning Dr. Whisky website, and sitting on the most prestigious judging panels in the industry, Sam was invited in 2008 to represent Scotland’s most handcrafted single malt whisky in the USA as the distillery’s first Ambassador in that country. After two years successful years in America, Sam moved back to the UK when he was invited to become The Balvenie Global Ambassador.
